Management Support

The placement of an experienced manager to complete a specific task for a client.  This might include completion of a business plan or business case; updating procedural documents; preparing performance specifications or managing a market testing exercise.  The financial resources available to clients for the management of their services is more effectively used by employing contract managers for specific tasks and then they have no financial commitment once the work is completed.


 
Performance Audit

A review of performance at high level (to identify areas of service to focus on and assess in more detail) or a detailed performance assessment.  It could examine Value for Money delivered by the service or focus on specific aspects (e.g. cost, quality, safety etc.).  Operational managers often find it difficult to find the time or objectivity to review the benefits that a service is delivering and how efficiently they are using financial resources.   An independent review can help to increase awareness of user expectations and generate a culture of continuous improvement.
